Experience in Mataró (Spain)

What is it like to live in Mataró? Would you recommend it? How is it?

I really recommend living in Mataró because you can enjoy the sun and the beach all year round. It is a city but the centre is like a town. In other words, you have the best of everything; the comfort, services etc. of living in the city, and in the centre Also, there is a lot of evening entertainment on the weekends.

What is the student lifestyle like in Mataró?

It is very happy with an encouragement to learn, do new things, and party!

How much does it cost to live in Mataró?

Honestly it is not a lot, and more importantly, it is much less than Barcelona, but it is still only 30 minutes from Barcelona.

Did you find it hard to find somewhere to live in Mataró? Do you have any advice?

No, absolutely not. I recommend living in a shared flat that is only a 10 minute walk to the Tecnocampus (university)!

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Good, very good. In fact it is one of the bet things, along with the sun, sea and parties.

What places would you recommend visiting in Mataró?

Get lost in the city, go for a night out in Pla d'en Boet...

Is it good to eat out in Mataró? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Mataró?

In the centre there are countless really good restaurants for value for money

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Mataró?

There are a lot of options for every taste, so everyone can choose to their taste, but they are all in the same area, in Pla d'en Boet, which is really close to the Tecnocampus as well as the flat that I recommended.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Mataró in the future?

Spend it well, learn, enjoy... and above all be good be good people in everything that you do!
