Hi  Everybody,

Join Marrakech WITH Locals free walking tours on the old city cultural, historical and touristic sightseeing tour. It is about exploring the secrets of the old city, best sights and local life in the fourth-largest city of Morocco. We will be walking inside and through the Medina's narrow alleyways and landmarks such as Koutoubia Mosque, Bab Agnaou, Jamaa Elfna Square, etc.

Go on a cultural journey exploring through the streets of Marrakech to the 12th century Koutoubia Mosque. Its height (77m tall) makes of the Mosque’ minaret a landmark for navigating the city. The mosque’s interior is not open to tourists, but you can still take a walk in its garden. As you walk around it, you will learn from much about its history and the 5 pillars of Islam, along with other religious matters.

From here, we head and continue our exploring adventure by stopping at the outside of the tomb of the founder of Marrakech Youssef Iben Tachfine. We discuss how he founded the city in 1062 by discovering the strategic location of Marrakech for the trade Caravans coming from the subsaharian areas.

Afterwards, we continue our walk to see Bab Agnaou that is one of the historical landmarks. From here we get inside the Kasbah quarter that hosted the royal family and the chancellors of Alomohad dinasty. After having a rich talk about The Moroccan society, economy, political system and culture, we head towards the Jewish quarter Mellah.

Take a walk in the Mellah, a historical Jewish quarter where Jewish people were living. We get closer to the jewish community here by discovering the history and the local life of the Moroccan Jews used to live in Marrakech and Morocco in General.

Carry out with your historical journey through the labyrinthine Medina narrow alleyways, until we reach a Hammam. We touch such crucial public place for locals. Continuing our tour arrive the Jemae Elfna square.

Reaching Jamaa Elfna Square, the World Heritage site for culture as UNESCO named it. The lopsided square is the main stage for Moroccan Halqa (the art of storytelling), jugglers, snake charmers, pop musicians and tens of chefs stir vats of steaming snails!
