Video Game QA Tester (6 months contract)

From our headquarters in the Technological Park of Andalucía in Málaga, Spain, we operate both locally and internationally with clients from many different business sectors including leading brands in the Games, IT, Legal, Engineering, Life Sciences, Energy, Finance, Banking and Business industries.

We are currently hiring experienced Video Game Functionality QA Testers to work in an exciting new project that is set to last for a minimum of 6 months. If you have previous functionality game testing experience and you are an avid gamer, we would like to hear from you!

As a Game Tester you will be testing games to detect and report any functional errors.

Role

As a Functionality Game Tester, you will be part of a team, testing projects in a deadline driven environment, taking full ownership of the tasks trusted to you, being the outmost objective to ensure successful project completion and customer satisfaction. You are expected to be a good team player working with the Development team, Lead QA Tester, Project Manager, and other QA testers as well as work independently.

Responsibilities

• Be aligned with Localsoft’s security and code of conduct
• Follow established processes, instructions and QA checklists
• Successfully complete tasks to the highest standards
• Willingness to learn and improve, support other team members and go the extra mile

Requirements

• Experience in FQA
• Network testing experience, such as bandwidth testing and throttling
• Experience with bug databases such as JIRA
• English with full working proficiency
• Capacity to work in a multicultural, dynamic and deadline driven work environment
• Good knowledge of game genres and platforms
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Proactive and positive “can do” attitude
• Understanding the importance of quality, customer service, confidentiality and security

Nice to Have

• Experience testing FPS titles
• Experience working in a Scrum framework

Additional information

• Valid work permit for Spain is required
• Testing is performed preferably at Localsoft’s secure testing lab in Málaga, Spain. 
• A valid work permit for Spain or EU citizenship is required
