Two 21 year old students looking for accomodation in Madrid

We are two students from Saarbruecken, Germany and are looking forward to spend one semester abroad in Madrid from September to March. Currently we are looking for the right accomodation for our stay. Our budget is limited to ~1000€ per month and we would prefer an apartment for the two of us that is located close to Madrid's city centre (Sol) or at least has a good connection by metro.
