25 year old PhD visiting UAM for 2 months

I'm a 25 year old Irish/canadian neuroscience PhD visiting madrid on a fellowship for collaboration with another lab. 

I'm quite an outdoorsy guy but simultaenously a very big nerd. I run/cycle/swim quite a bit and it's important for me to live in an area where there lots of good areas for running while at the same time i've read more sci-fi and fantasy novels than i'd care to admit, but probably my largest hobby is cooking so having a decently equiped kitchen is very important for me and I'm always happy to test my food on others.

Its very important for me to get along well with and be social with my housemates and if come into enviroment that everyone just does there own thing and avoids each other i'd rather not be there.
