ACTIVIDADES DE MADRIDBABEL EN LA SEGUNDA QUINCENA DE OCTUBRE

Queridos amigos:

En estos últimos días del mes de octubre seguiremos con nuestros habituales encuentros internacionales gratuitos en The Quiet Man (Valverde 44 - metro Tribunal o Gran Vía) todos los miércoles a partir de las 20:30 y todos los domingos a partir de las 19:00.
Además, tendremos el espectacular Viaje a los Colores del Otoño del 29 de octubre al 1 de noviembre (os recordamos todos los detalles abajo), para el que aún podéis apuntaros antes de este viernes, o si preferís también podéis abonarlo en efectivo en nuestra reunión del miércoles en The Quiet Man. No os lo perdáis, que va a ser algo verdaderamente especial :-)

In these last days of October we will go on with our usual free international meetings at The Quiet Man (Valverde 44 - metro Tribunal or Gran Vía) every Wednesday from 20:30 and every Sunday from 19:00.
Furthermore, we will have the spectacular Trip to the Autumn Colours from October 29 to November 1 (you can see all the details below), that you can book before this Friday or, if you prefer, you can pay it in cash this Wednesday at our meeting at The Quiet Man. Don't miss it because it's going to be very special :-)

MADRIDBABEL: VIAJE A LOS COLORES DEL OTOÑO
El Pirineo Aragonés; naturaleza, pueblos, vinos,
Halloween, gymkana y más sorpresas
(29 de octubre - 1 de noviembre)

Sábado 29 octubre: Madrid – Cariñena - Zaragoza - Barbastro
Saldremos a las 8:30 desde la Glorieta de Atocha (al lado de Ministerio de Agricultura) en dirección a Cariñena, donde visitaremos una bodega de la afamada denominación de origen; así haremos un alto en el camino para degustar sus caldos. De ahí nos iremos a Zaragoza, capital aragonesa, donde haremos una gymkana de tapas e historia; de esta forma comeremos a la par que visitamos la ciudad. Tenemos un recorrido muy interesante donde tú vas a descubrir la ciudad con la información que te damos y competirás con los demás de una forma muy divertida…. No te desvelamos más. Tras la divertida prueba nos vamos a Barbastro, donde cenaremos y nos alojaremos.

Domingo 30 octubre: Valle de Ordesa y Ainsa
Este día nos dirigimos al espectacular Valle de Ordesa a través del Valle de Broto y sus bonitos pueblos. Comenzaremos nuestra ruta* por su Cañón hacia el bosque de hayas de Cotatuero y las espectaculares cascadas del Estrecho, Arripas y la Cueva para terminar en las Gradas de Soaso y el impresionante paisaje sobre su Circo Glaciar y Monte Perdido. Tras visitar el bonito pueblo de Ainsa, típico pueblo pirenaico medieval con un trazado urbano muy especial, volveremos a Barbastro para cenar.
*Ruta dificultad baja 4.30h; aunque es ascendente todo el tiempo hasta llegar a las gradas de Soaso, a partir de allí se calma el ascenso y llega la majestuosidad del valle glaciar. Se recomienda llevar calzado apropiado (para los que no deseen hacerla ofreceremos una alternativa, no guiada, pues el guía acompañará al grupo de senderistas)

Lunes 31 octubre: Barbastro – Enate – Adahuesca - Alquézar
Tras visitar el Centro de Interpretación del Vino del Somontano en un marco incomparable y con un audiovisual realmente apasionante, nos dirigiremos a la bodega de Enate, referente en la comarca del Somontano por la gran calidad de sus vinos y por la arquitectura de sus instalaciones. Continuaremos con la visita al Centro de Leyendas y Tradiciones de Adahuesca, donde las protagonistas del espacio son las Abuelas de Sebil, figuras míticas que, según la leyenda, fueron las únicas supervivientes de una epidemia de peste negra que azotó su aldea. Posteriormente saldremos a visitar la bonita localidad de Alquézar, a la vera del río Vero, conjunto histórico – artístico, marco incomparable para pasear por sus callejuelas, donde lugares como el Mirador 'Sonrisa al viento', la Portada gótica, la Calle Pedro Arnal Cavero, la Plaza Mayor, la Fuente de Monchirigüel, el Mirador O´Bicón y la Colegiata Santa Maria la Mayor, nos trasladarán al pasado. Después de haber conocido lugares realmente interesantes y representativos de la comarca, además de genuinos y que haremos divertidos, regresaremos a Barbastro para cenar y celebrar la noche de Halloween.

Martes 1 Noviembre: Barbastro - Madrid
Por la mañana haremos un recorrido de senderismo por la región del Somontano, aprovechando para disfrutar de un paisaje único.
(2 horas de Senderismo aproximadamente)

Tras tomar una cervecita tranquilos y comer en un restaurante típico, iniciaremos la vuelta a Madrid, no sin antes probar otro vino del Somontano para que nos quede un estupendo sabor de boca :-)

MADRIDBABEL: TRIP TO THE AUTUMN COLOURS
The Aragonese Pyrenees; nature, villages, wine, Halloween, gymkana and more surprises
(October 29 - November 1)

Saturday, October 29: Madrid – Cariñena - Zaragoza - Barbastro
We will leave at 08:30 from the Glorieta de Atocha (beside the Ministry of Agriculture) towards Cariñena, where we shall visit a prestigious wine cellar and try its wines. From there we’ll head towards Zaragoza, the Aragonese capital where we will carry out a gymkana which shall include tapas and history; we’ll eat as we'll we see the city. We have planned a very interesting route where you will discover the city with the information we will provide to you and you will compete with the others in a fun way… No more details can be revealed… After the fun game we’ll go to Barbastro where we’ll have dinner and spend the night.

Sunday, October 30: Valle de Ordesa and Ainsa
We’ll head towards the spectacular Valle de Ordesa, crossing the Valle de Broto and its beautiful villages. We’ll begin our route* through the Gorge towards the Cotatuero beech tree forest and the spectacular Estrecho, Arripas and The Cave (la Cueva) cascades finishing at the Gradas de Soaso and the impressive landscape overlooking the Circo Glaciarand Monte Perdido. Following our visit to the pretty village of Ainsa, a typical medieval village in the Pyrenees with a particular urban layout, we’ll return to Barbastro for dinner and fun.
*Low difficulty route 4.30hs; although it is uphill until reaching the Soaso terraces, from there on the rise gets easier and the majestic nature of the glacier can be seen. We recommend you take appropriate shoes (whoever wishes to stay we offer another alternative -without a guide however- as the guide will accompany the treckers).

Monday, October 31: Barbastro – Enate – Adahuesca - Alquézar
After visiting the Somontano Wine Interpretation Centre in a unique framework and with a truly passionate audiovisual presentation, we shall go towards the Enate wine cellar, a point of reference in the Somontano region due to the excellent quality of its wines and the architecture of its facilities. We shall continue to visit the Centre of Legends and Traditions of Adahuesca, where the protagonists of the area are the Sebil Grandmothers, mythical figures that, according to the legend, were the only survivors of the Black Death epidemic that hit their small village.

Later, we will shall visit the pretty village of Alquézar, on the edge of the river Vero, historical and artistic ensemble, unique framework to wonder its small streets, where places such as the Sonrisa al viento Viewpoint, the Gothic Gate, the Pedro Arnal Cavero Street, the Plaza Mayor, the Monchirigüel Fountain, the O´Bicón Viewpoint and the Santa María la Mayor Church, will take us back to the past. We will return to the hotel having discovered very interesting, genuine and representative places of the region that we’ll make entertaining. Once in Barbastro we will have dinner and celebrate the night of Halloween.

Tuesday, November 1: Barbastro - Madrid
We’ll do some trecking in the Somontano region (2hrs approximately) in order to make the most of the unique landscape.

After a peaceful beer and lunch at a typical restaurant, we will return to Madrid, not without trying another type of Somontano wine, leaving a great taste in our mouths! :-)
