What is it like to live in Macerata? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Macerata is a very small town. It was nice to live in such a small city and experience a true Italian culture. Unlike Rome or Milan, you do not get such a variety of culture with so many foreigners. Most people in the town are either born and raised there, or from other Italian cities themselves. I would recommend to visit this city to anyone who is wanting to see what nature Italy has to offer. If you are looking for a party, this is not the place to be. Much more laid back and conservative. Beautiful through and through. Friendly people and environment.

How much does it cost to live in Macerata?

Inexpensive. There are many options for students as well as young adults. I do not know for sure considering I lived with a host family.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

A lot of homemade pizzerias. Very inexpensive. Several convenient grocery stores as well.

What places would you recommend visiting in Macerata?

The main park as well as the city center inside the walls.
