KAFETHEA

For area research project for mystudiesI was looking for newly open bars and cafes to interview. I came across KAFETHÉA while biking through the city. Their interesting and expressive windows grabbed my attention. 

 They are an independent espresso & tea bar with vegan and vegetarian feel good food! And they also have this awesome collection of vintage clothes! They describe themselves as  a speciality espresso & tea bar in the very heart of Maastricht. Find yourself a relaxing spot to read some of the many books we have while enjoying a 100% arabica espresso or a latte. They sell 100% home-made pastry, a wide range of vegan and vegetarian food for breakfast & lunch like soups & salads and cold pressed juices. And in the back, there is a vintage clothing shop. The interior is very different to a normal cafe. There is a sort of retro living room vibe. There are plants, sofas, big and small tables and rugs. The owners even made a world map out of coffee beans by themselves. (See below) It is made by roughly 2,000 coffee beans.
