Hi everyone,

I'm heading to Lyon in September to start a year abroad doing a teaching assistantship (so not strictly Erasmus, but oh well!) and it would be great to get in touch with some other Brits who will be out there at the same time. Also if anyone has any accomodation tips/is looking for a flatmate then please get in touch. Does anyone know the city at all already? I keep looking for flats and then realise that they are affordable because they are in a dodgy area, so the search is a bit needle in haystack at the moment!

Hey guys,

I'll be going out to study in Lyon for the entire year. I haven't planned anything yet, not even accomodation. I plan to leave that til August:) I want to live around Croix-Rousse/Presque'il..I think the good thing about Lyon is that the rent is not so bad as Paris!

Also, if you have any advice about internet/phone deals please let me know! 

It would be lovely to speak to you all and even meet you in Lyon!

I'm going to Lyon this September too and should definately get a bit more serious about finding accommodation/roommates!

I'm going to Lyon university III so would like to be quite central in Lyon I think. But it depends if the transport is good.

My name is Eleni, i am from Greece and i study physics at University of Patras.

My specialization at university is computing and signal processing and i have also done a dissertation in this subject.I am going to participate in the erasmus placements programme where i am going to do my practical work.

Erasmus placement is a programme which has the support of the Commission of the European Union and it lasts three months (febrouary-may 2014). I would like also to informe you that i speak English and French fluently.Please snd me your advises and your guidance guys !!! please help me my deadline is until september 2013

I'm going to lyon next January because i got a job in there. So I'm looking for someone ideally french or english speaker to share flat. Are you guys sharing flat already? Do you need any flatmate or do you know about any flat or people that is looking for too?

Hey Cristina!

I am also going to Lyon for my internship in January. I am portuguese and currently I study in holland. I would be interested in finding a nice flat together, preferably in the 1st or 2nd district :) what do you think?
