Looking for a room anywhere near a station

Hello, I'm Claudia and I'm originally from Portugal but moved to the UK when I was young. Right now I am studying in Taiwan as an exchange student. However, I am going back to Portugal in September to study and later for an internship for one year in Lisbon and I need a room preferably nearer to a metro station for a one-year contract. I can speak fluently Portuguese too and my mother flies into Portugal every couple of months because it's my hometown so I would need somewhere that doesn't mind allowing overnight guests.
