Business development for an engineering office (marketing positioning, commercial analysis, technological watch …)

Requisites: To do an internship with us you need an Internship Agreement (sometimes called "Training" or "Learning" agreement) with a university. That’s just a paper that your University, you and us will have to sign so that everything will be legal. You have to ask it for yourself in your university. In addition, you can also get information in your University about any scholarships available (for internship in a company) that could help you with the costs. For example Erasmus+ Internship, Eurodyssee, Leonardo Da Vinci, etc. If you are not sure about this maybe is a better idea to ask first to your university and then send your cv to us.

◦  Place: Liège / Alleur, Belgium.

◦  Length: minimum 4 months, better 6 months, ideally 1 year.

◦  Salary: there is not a salary, if possible, the student/graduated student can apply for a scholarship (Erasmus Practice, Leonardo).

◦  Languages: English (very good), French (optional, it´s a plus).

◦  Domain: The role of the candidate will be to take the place of possible customer in order to adapt the company´s positioning and marketing offer. Some affinities with calculation and technical environment are a plus. The candidate will have not to fear contacts with possible customers in Belgium and abroad.

Description of the company: This is an engineering company of 150 people specialized in Finite Element Simulations (FEA). The company is active in various fields of calculation such as aeronautical… They are also active in crash simulation such as crashes of vehicles according to EuroNCap or vehicles against roadside equipment (safety barriers, etc.). The company is willing to make itself known by possible customers and to adapt its marketing tools. They would like also to identify new markets that could be interested and interesting.

Tasks: The student will be responsible to contact customers and analyses the market to find possibilities of expansion. Knowing all details about the calculations are not necessary (often, a customer doesn’t know the calculations we are doing) but the candidate should be customer oriented (what does they win if we make the calculation, what’s their interest …). Logic and basic strategic reflexion are usually the key.

Skills: The student should know PowerPoint, Word and Excel very well. He should know how to manage a mailbox and how to organize files of customers. He should also be innovative and creative while listening customers and making links between their requests and possible work the company could do.
