23 year old guy, looking for accomodation in Leiden
- Move in date: 25 August 2021
- Minumum stay: 12 months
Hello there!
My name is Tobie, I'm a law student from Québec and I'm moving to Leiden in August in order to study in a master's degree programme in International Criminal Law.
It's not my first experience living abroad, as I was in Vienna in the spring and summer of 2020 (although I don't know how much it counts, given I was stuck in my room on lockdown most of the time). I've also travelled a bunch, and I can speak two and a half languages (my German is truly an insult to the nation). I can also relatively understand Spanish if spoken slowly, but don't speak it anymore. If you speak French, you will get ample opportunity to laugh at my accent.
I think I'm a pretty good flatmate, although my previous one wasn't very loquacious so I didn't get much feedback. I can cook, clean after myself, I don't party much and I scream only very occasionally when watching the Canadiens play. I can shoot references at you if you're looking for confirmation.
The website asks us to describe the type of roommate I am looking for, so I'll say that being ready to share a new culture to me is a plus, but otherwise, I would ask you to turn away if you think you are a bad person, a nuisance, or have violated the Geneva Conventions (I gotta cover my bases somehow).
Only hard rule for me is that I want my own room, but for the washroom, kitchen, etc., I'm ready to share. Having a place with a living room would be nice, though.
Anyhow, I hope anyone who has made it this far a nice day!
