Zelluso

Ischia is one of the best places where I have ever been. There are three islands in the Gulf of Naples: Ischia, Procida and Capri. Ischia is the largest with its 46 km2, volcanic island. The accomodation is cheaper than in Capri, because is not so well known than Capri, but it doesn't mean is less charming. It is 30 kms far from Naples, you can take a ferry from Naples Beverello station, it costs around 35 euros and 30 minutes to get there. If you like taking pictures, sit near the window, there is a nice view, you can see Naples and the other islands on the way. If you want to avoid tourist rush what you would have on Capri and if you wish to have a relaxing vacation with clear water on a green island, I truly recommend you spending some time in this amazing paradise. :)

The locals are nice, the food is tasty, the sea is hot and clear, I drank the best meloncello there, but you can try the limoncello as well, which is made from huge local lemons.

I ate a good pizza in a local restaurant called Zelluso. It's a simple restaurant where you can have traditional italian food. Arrive early before it's getting full.

After dinner if you wish to have some romantic moments with your lover, don't miss the sunset from the terrace called Le Canzoni Del Mare.It is on the way back from the restaurant. The island is famous for nightlife as well, lot of young people come from Naples to have party there. You can see some photos about all the things I've been writing. Enjoy your stay in Ischia! :)
