What is it like to live in Laguna? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Laguna is the big line between, nature and the city. It offers a huge variety of environment focused on areas such as mountains, forests, lakes, rivers, and reserves. on the other side, it offers amazingly posh malls and other urbanized facilities. If you are a person that loves nature but also wants to see the city every now and then so Laguna a great place to live.

What is the student lifestyle like in Laguna?

In here, students of University of the Philippines are lucky to have everything available within their grasp. food, school supplies, coffee shops etc. are all near and accessible. Parties and other relaxations such as spa are also available in Laguna.

How much does it cost to live in Laguna?

It is very cheap to live in Laguna.
12,000 PhP is enough to live harmoniously for a month if you are a student. that already includes monthly rent

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Laguna? Is there any advice you can give?

Not really, the area is not too much populated and many more constructions for housing are available both for students and expats who want to work here.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There's a wide variety of food available in almost every city and towns of laguna. My favourite dish is white cheese that are being sold in capital of Laguna, in the town called Sta Cruz.

What places would you recommend visiting in Laguna?

Los Banos, San Pablo, Sta Rosa and Sta Cruz. They are the mixture of culture, food, party, malls and parks.

Is it good to eat out in Laguna? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

yes there are a lot of parks in UPLB and that's where I actually want to have picnic with friends

Is the nightlife good in Laguna? Where is good to go?

In Los Banos and Sta Rosa City, the night life such as parties and pubs are really amazing.

What advice would you give future students heading to Laguna?

Please bring an open mind because the place is very liberal, ironic to be located in a suburban area.
