I think it is about more than 300€ to have an apartment, and everything added to that to live properly (food, activities... ).

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Of course it is French food so it is obvious this is excellent! My favorite dishes are Boeuf Bourguignon, Pot Au Feu (typical French dishes).

What places would you recommend visiting in La Roche-sur-Yon?

The best places to see are La Place Napoléon, the commercial centers, and what is great is that La Roche Sur Yon is close to the sea, about 30mn, so you can take the bus easily.

Is it good to eat out in La Roche-sur-Yon? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There are some good places to eat out, like La Toquenelle (Les Flâneries), and in the center you can find a lot of different restaurants.

Is the nightlife good in La Roche-sur-Yon? Where is good to go?

There are always some hang out on the Thursday evening, some parties organised by the University. The best places are a bar called Le 18B, are some clubs like Le Castel.

What advice would you give future students heading to La Roche-sur-Yon?

Don't be afraid to discover new cultures! French people are nice, open-minded, and you will have no difficulties to make new friends.
