Experience in University of Copenhagen, Denmark by Vikunu

Generally, what is Københavns Universitet like?

Copenhagen University is surrounded by a beautiful city, with beautiful gardens and parks to make the study environment more lively. After the long hectic hours of study moods, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery with your friends on the campus and university bars.

What are the facilities like?

There are different groups and communities in the Uni that you can get along to know people, such as sports, dance, choirs, international clubs. The University Library has in connection with all the big libraries in Denmark which made it more beneficial for the students to get various books you want.

What are the tutors like?

The teachers and professors are very friendly and would invite the students for outdoor activities or dinner together to get along and make the students comfortable and not confined to academics alone.

Are the lessons easy in Københavns Universitet?

Well, it depends on the level of your own subjects I should say, there are a lot of assignments and projects we are supposed to complete but most of the projects are group work and allow yourself to expose more to different people and learn more from the other person. If you do your best you can always make things easy.

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

The University has a lot of activities as mentioned it depends on you if you will like to join the group and be a part of it. I believe they are pretty independent therefore there is no compulsion if you don't want to be a part of it as some people love to only keep themself in study environment and work. For this reason, it is flexible and it's a choice of an individual if he or she would like to join.

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

Definitely, the teaching is super good, in my own course we had so many field trips in and around the country not only that we traveled to 3 neighboring countries for a week, in this way the teaching comes along with practical learning opportunity, which I think it's very good for the students to learn better.

Are there any stories you can share?

My life in Copenhagen was pretty amazing, though it's a little expensive city it never stopped surprising me. I loved every single day I had spent in that city studying with many other internationals along. Looking back at the memories we had yesterday I still wish to get back to Copenhagen University.
