What is it like to live in Kristiansund? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Kristiansund is a small but a beautiful city! The city is divided in to four islands. Kirkelandet, Gomalandet, Nordlandet og Innlandet. The centrum is mainly on Kirkelandet.

What is the student lifestyle like in Kristiansund?

We don’t have like big universities and stuff. But in 2022 it will be build a big campus, with lots of different educational programs! It’s a calm and safe environment to be a student in.

How much does it cost to live in Kristiansund?

Norwegian prices is high, I can’t say that it’s cheap to live in Norway. But it’s a lot cheaper to live in this kind of small city that in for example Oslo, and the other big cities.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Kristiansund? Is there any advice you can give?

You can go on Finn.no to find accommodations and stuff. You talk directly with he landlords there.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is great! We are known for making Bacalao and fish

What places would you recommend visiting in Kristiansund?

Havnekontoret, Varden, Klubba, Vågen etc.

Is it good to eat out in Kristiansund? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

My favorite cafe is called Havnekontoret! They have the best pizza and food! It’s not that expensive at all.

Is the nightlife good in Kristiansund? Where is good to go?

It’s great! It’s enough places to visit for being a so small city!

What advice would you give future students heading to Kristiansund?

The city has a lot of history, so be open to learn about it. And just enjoy this type of city along the coast. And be prepared for rain and a lot of different weather in one day
