32 / UK-Hong Konger with ample international background and exposure seeking housemates

Hi everyone, I'm Hubert originally from Hong Kong but have been based in Newcastle in NE England for the past 11 years. I'm an out-and-out petrolhead but also very much into anthropological and socio-political issues due to my international background that has seen me actively involved in the solidarity movement in Hong Kong since 2019 and overcoming hurdles in terms of nationality and immigration. I'm starting a 2-year Masters programme at UJ in International Security and Development this Sep. I'm self-taught in photography and graphic design and have been involved in various editorial and web publishing work. I'm a keen reader and a creative writer. Having been relatively well-travelled especially in Central and Eastern Europe, I'm hoping to mingle with peoples from various cultures and backgrounds and would be so glad to meet new friends from all round the world. I'm always after a decent pint or a glass with mates so heading out is definitely a given.
