Kozani is a small town in northern Greece, capital of Kozani regional unit and of West Macedonia region. You can go wherever you want by foot. Here is the home of the Technological Educational Institute of Western Macedonia and the University of Western Macedonia, with about 15, 000 students from all over Greece and other places. If you like the small quite cities you will loved Kozani.

What is the student lifestyle like in Kozani?

We have a lot of clubs and cafes. The cafes are full all day. If you like activities we have a lot of gyms and a pool. You can walk in the parks.

How much does it cost to live in Kozani?

Kozani is a low cost city. You can find to rent an apartment from 180 € in good condition. The restaurants have very good prices especially for students.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Kozani? Is there any advice you can give?

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There is a dish in Kozani called Giaprakia. The ingredients are meat, rice in salty carbage-leaf, with the shape of an egg. It is usually served in Christmas. Kichi (Kozanitiko kichi) is another local dish, which is a cheese pie with circular-snail form.

What places would you recommend visiting in Kozani?

• Lake Polyfytos Bridge crossing the artificial Polyfytos Lake. With a length of 1, 372 m (4, 501 ft), it is the second longest bridge in Greece next to the Rio–Antirrio bridge

• The Museum of the Macedonian Struggle in Chromio

• The Municipal Park Kouri located in Agios Dimitrios where you can see the Cultural Center and the Municipal Theatre of Kozani

We have some very good restaurants and it's not very expensive. My friend and I love to go in Trypokaridow and in Strada. I recommend the two restaurants.

Is the nightlife good in Kozani? Where is good to go?

We have the best nightlife in Western Macedonia. If you like clubbing you must go to D. A. D. A nightclub.

What advice would you give future students heading to Kozani?

You will love Kozani and you can do whatever you want with few money!
