Klaipėda is a beautiful port/ seaside city. If you like the sea, Klaipėda is a city for you. It is easy to travel in the city, you can easily find everything you need and the food is great too.

What is the student lifestyle like in Klaipeda?

I think for a student it is a plase that is easy to live. Studens in Klaipėda can get half prices for transpors, attending some events(sometimes its even free). As what students do, at day you can travel in the city, go to all kind of shops, cafes, restaurants, at night there are clubs students can go to and other activities.

How much does it cost to live in Klaipeda?

For foreighn students living in Klaipėda is consideret quite cheap. The living expences and food doesn't cost much. As for activities, prices varies depending on activity itself, something it's free, sometimes not.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Klaipeda? Is there any advice you can give?

In Klaipėda, usually the university or others institutes has dorms that are very cheap, but of course, you can quite easily fing an accommodation to live in too.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is tasty and healthy. One of my favourite dished are "koldūnai" and "cepelinai"(traditional food). Both dishes are tasty, not oily, has meat and you will feel full after eating them.

What places would you recommend visiting in Klaipeda?

In Klaipėda the best things to visit are "Klaipėdos senamiestis" (The old touwn of Klaipėda), the sea, the biggest shopping mall in the city "Akropolis" and just take a walk or a bicycle and travel in Klaipėda streets. But the most important place is the old town of Klaipėda, since it has museums, you can see how Klaipėda looked before, it has all kind of interesting hidden Klaipėda sculptures and some other interesting things.

Is it good to eat out in Klaipeda? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It is good to eat out in Klaipėda, best places are in city center, or near the river Danė.

Is the nightlife good in Klaipeda? Where is good to go?

Night life in Klaipėda could be considered good. There are a lot of clubs to visit, the most recomented one's could be club "Fabric" or "Martinis" that are highly visited by students. Of course you can fing other places like bars, cafes, restaurants that play live music at night.

What advice would you give future students heading to Klaipeda?

Then is comes to dressing up, weather is quote cold from around October to April, so students should prepare some warmer clothes. If not minding colder weather then everything else in Klaipėda would be good.
