How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I receive 325 euros per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Klaipeda?

Firstly, Klaipeda is small city. But you can find many activities. My friends and I used to go Akropolis (the biggest mall in Lithuania), ice skating, bars, clubs. Also almost ever activity is quite cheap. Everything is quite cheap!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Klaipeda to other students?

If you like big, crowded cities, I do not recommend you to go Klaipeda. Vilnius MAY be ok for you. Because it is a small but lovely city for me near the forest and sea.

In summertimes, Klaipeda has festivals like jazz festival, street music festival..

I did not study in Klaipeda University, but I have many friends who studied there. I would definitely recommended.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Klaipeda?

Our mentors and coordinator helped us to find a flat. Then we paid for everything.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is not so easy but enjoyable to learn. I strongly recommend you to take EILC If you study with Erasmus. This courses are great and helpful or you. If you can not take, you don't need to worry, your university provide you language course for beginner.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Klaipeda from your city?

I am living in İstanbul. There are flights from Istanbul to Riga and the distance between Klaipeda and Riga is only four hour. Also Vilnius (same distance) is a good alternative to Riga.

Because the bus companies do not make discount for international travelling. So Vilnius will be the cheaper way.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Klaipeda?

Kurpiai is a great jazz club. They have live performances everything, different kinds of music (jazz, blues, rock.. ), interactive games and so on.
