In one of the previous blogs I have mentioned the Harry Potter Library (Livraria Lello) in Porto, but this time I am gonna focus on another place, dedicated to this great hero of our youth (and of course, adulthood also). It can be found a bit closer to my home, just across the border in Klagenfurt (Celovec) in Austria. I have found it while I was staying in this charming city for a few days, working on Holz & Bau construction and building fair.
The city is not big, but it has many romantic spots and amazing food places. You should definitely try traditional Austrian plates while you are at it, of course, accompanied by local beer. Nevertheless, not to lose focus – the one place that you should definitely visit is the Phoenix Book Café on Alter Pl. 24, 9020 Klagenfurt am Wörthersee.
Keep in mind that this is a specialised coffee shop, not a bar. Therefore it is opened every day from 8 am to 10 pm, just on Sundays they keep it open from 10 am to 8 pm. They don't offer any alcoholic beverages since many visitors are obviously also kids, but you can still find butterbeer on the menu – it just won't make you tipsy.
In the coffee shop itself, you can find many memories for you and your loved ones. You can find fluffy fantastic beasts, Hedwig and different figurines. Those are all great gifts, but my personal favourite is the collection of books. There you can find some you can't usually see in bookstores, not even the ones related to Harry Potter, such as The Tales of Beedle The Bard. Personally, I had no idea J. K. Rowling even wrote that until I saw it in the store and I immediately had to take it as a gift for a friend!
