Generally, what is Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Strategic Research like?

KIMEP is my home university. i believe that this university is very good if to compare to other universities in Central Asian region. studying here always comes along with fun because you can find plenty of facilities, organizations and groupings that make your daily life brighter.

What are the facilities like?

here you have 3 main buildings situated all around inner yard. you also have three food courts with different cuisines. here you have gym on the territory of university as well as medical center. dormitory is also located on the territory of campus.

What are the tutors like?

tutors are both local and invited from Western countries.

Are the lessons easy in Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Strategic Research?

lessons take either 55 minutes or 75 minutes depending on the amount of classes in week. but hte general scheme is the same as in states. you have 2 midterm exams and one final. plus, depending on professors preferences you might have presentations, case studies and so on

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

yeah, generally we have good custom to organize picnics and such stuff on holidays typical for Kazakhstani region. on most of holidays KIMEP organises food&drinks, perfomances things as well as different master classes or smth like that

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

yeah, definitely. i see some exchangers who come here generally because they are interested in the region. we have good local professors who devoted their academic lives in studying regional peculiarities/

Are there any stories you can share?

kimep is good university with good environment. it is specific in a good sense as well
