Erasmus in Torhout

Hello guys!

I studied English Language Teaching by Erasmus programme in 2013-2014 in Torhout, Belgium. I sometimes had lessons in Kortrijk because of my department, though.

First of all, education of the school is pretty nice, teachers, either. This school does not have any exams for Erasmus students. (I don't know whether it s the same for their native students or not). Teachers just expect you to do assignments which they have given. At least, this is how happened for my department. Facilities of this school are good enough.

Since the distances are not so far in Torhout, people commonly use bikes there. Well, though I had a bike (My lovely but shabby bike), I used to go to school by walking in less than 3 min! If the place you are/will be staying a little bit far away from the school, you can easily rent a bike from that school.

Belgium is normally a bit more expensive than the other European countries. However, I don't think you'll have any trouble with it.

Torhout is both very small and lovely! It is just 10 min far away from Brugge by train. Since there is not much thing to do in Torhout, you can spend your weekend in Brugge.
