There is one thing I loved about doing my Erasmus in Prague: prices of transports! From there I could go anywhere without spending much money, which made it possible for me to visit a lot of cities inside the country and also on the surrounding countries.
Inside Czech Republic my favourite city, besides Prague of course, was without doubt Karlovy Vary!
It's so different from the capital city, it the thermal city of the country, where you can enjoy real and pure nature and of course go for a thermal bath on those famous waters tha heal everything!
First thing to do when you get there is to go to turism office and pick up the flyer that says "10 things you have to see" and go to all of them!!!
The lookout towers where my favourite part, I went on a sunny Autumn day, the colours were conforting and alive, I've never seen so many orange tonalities as I saw in the leaves that day.
Perfect for a one day trip, the best way to get there is by bus, the ticket was around 12€, go and come back. Restaurants are not that cheap, it is one of the most fancy cities around the country, so if you go on a low-budget trip take some food with you and do a picknik!
