It´s nice in summer time, when city has a 2 week birthday party, 4 rivers to go and jump in for a refresh and many more...

What is the student lifestyle like in Karlovac?

There is a university in town but the student life isn´t at the level it can be. In 2016 new dorm will be built and it will be better I hope.

How much does it cost to live in Karlovac?

If you are living in a rented flat that will cost you around 200-250 € if you are alone and around 100-150€ if you share.
There is a restaurant that gives student meals for 1€ if you got a student card from university.
You could live with 150€/ month

Accomodation is easy to find once you have someone to look it up on croatian add services.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There is a lot of good meals.
You got to try chevapi ( ćevapi ) but you have to know where to eat them.

What places would you recommend visiting in Karlovac?

Old town of Dubovac
Many parks
Rivers Korana, Kupa, Mrežnica, Dobra
Take a ride with the bike around the town, take a swim, make a BBQ right next to the river, try some beers...

Nightlife isn´t so good, there is only 2 places you could go and only on saturday.

What advice would you give future students heading to Karlovac?

Explore nature, enjoy rivers, beer, chevapi, walk trough parks, don´t hesitate to talk to young people
