What is it like to live in Jurmala? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

The city is very quite and nice. The best thing about it is that the air is very fresh since it is located between river Lielupe and The Gulf of Riga. There are a lot of pine trees.

What is the student lifestyle like in Jurmala?

Most of the students live in Riga since there are only few Universities in Jurmala. Also it is a resort city so most of the accommodation is pricey.

How much does it cost to live in Jurmala?

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Jurmala? Is there any advice you can give?

If you want to find accommodation in Jurmala - the best thing is to look in Neighborhoods which are further from the city centre. Like Bulduri, Kauguri or Sloka. It is better to look for the flat rather for the private house.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There are plenty of places where to eat in the city centre. My favorite place is Tokyo City since they offer sushi for a cheap price. Also Picerija Ripo, Kafe 53, Cili Pica and Lido are nice as well. The best option is to go to Rimi, Maxima or Top to buy food and cook it at home

Is it good to eat out in Jurmala? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yeah, it is fine! If I want to eat something very fast I just go to Narvesen and buy hot dog or a sandwich

Is the nightlife good in Jurmala? Where is good to go?

No, there are no clubs in Jurmala. Just go to riga

What advice would you give future students heading to Jurmala?

Look for the accommodation in Riga. Just go to Jurmala if you want to relax from the city life
