Generally, what is Jean-François Champollion University Center for Teaching and Research like?

The campus is quite small, but it gives more opportunity to get to know people and have a friendly environment. As it is small, it is also easy to access everywhere. Cafeteria food is delicious, and it is quite clean. Classrooms are comfy, furnished with wide desks and normal chairs, which enables you to do group works easily and place your materials better.
In every class, there is enough technology devices to project slides or, watch movies etc. Lecture halls are big, and there is also enough technology to do works there.

In Champollion, you can find activities that are held for that week on flyers. they are on boards, desks in each faculty. We can say that they organise tons of concerts, fests but participation is not enough.

What are the facilities like?

As far as I know, there is a swimming pool a bit far away from uni but 2 mins by car, I dont know if it is belonged to the Champollion, but some of my friends were taking swimming courses(with credit) in that pool. There is a gym near the parking lot, it is new and there is a wide range of sports you can do there.

What are the tutors like?

Professors are easy going, friendly and don't put you in trouble by piling projects and exams up. For them attendance in class is important, and of course handing homework in time.

Are the lessons easy in Jean-François Champollion University Center for Teaching and Research?

We can not say they are easy or hard. It depends on the department that person is studying. but compared to Hacettepe uni, it is easy peasy. they have 1 final 1 homework or a presentation. In the exam, you can most likely guess the questions. That is what I like about Champollion, they do not ask you stupid, irrelevant questions or details. For example I was studying english lang& literature there, in all of my courses, I was able to guess the exam questions as they were covering all the subjects and turning points that were vital during the lessons. They were all essay questions and what was important for them to express your own opinions and to make comment on the topic.

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

Yes they do, but only at the university, they do not take you on a tour to Paris or to other countries nearby so you have to organise your own trip.

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

Yes there is, but like in every institution , there are some tutors that you can not comprehend their lessons or you just cant get along. but as to speak for my major, as long as you have native tutors and friendly ones, it is alright.

Are there any stories you can share?

you have to answer the head department's demands, we had some troubles due to communication and about methodology and she was not content about that.
