The city is very nice, cosy yet full of all needed facilities, entertainment places, restaurants, schools.
The city is very touristic, has an old shore.
It is surely recommended.

Jbeil is a good city for a student : a quiet city, cosy, yet has lot of entertainment places and night life. Jbeil is over the sea, and is the gate to mountains for skiing or for more touristic discoveries.

How much does it cost to live in Jbeil?

Jbeil is quite an affordable city compared to Beirut.
Rent would be in the range of USD 400-500 for furnished 1 room apartment.
Always to consider two bills for electricity, since all apartments are connected to generators as we still face electricity cuts.
USD 1400 would be Ok between rent, monthly contributions for internet, electricity, generator, food, entertainment...

Food is great. Lebanese Mezza is recommended (Homos, Falafel, Tabouleh, Barbecued meats, Lebanese sweets.....)

Nice place to stay and study.
LAU is one of the best universities in Lebanon, it is situated Blat - just few KLMs above Blat.
