Huelma

Huelma (Jaén)

The town is situated in the middle of Sierra of Mágina, surrounded by mountains and mineral waters. Huelma has known how to conserve its agriculture, religion, history, it's like the time has never past.

For all this, the town was rewarded in 1971 by beeing declared an historical’artistic place, thing that made everyone very proud. It does not have more 2000 persons but this makes you feel like home everyday.

In Huelmayou can admired the archeological from the iberian perioad. It is a place full of history and old legends.

Also in Huelma you can visit the Castle of the Ducs in Alburquerque. This is an arab construcion with big gates with a grandious beauty. A short walk will let us know better this wonderful town, every little detail and every nice courner. Even if it is just a little village in Jaén, Huelma has lot more to offer that you think the religious monuments and the big Church of Inmaculada wil surrely impress you.

Huelma has a very productive land and fresh waters. The best festival is La serranilla de Mágina is on 27 august and it is a extraordinaty traditional party.

You must visit this little town, because you can have a great experience in that little village.
