We are seeking a Business Development Assistant for our Istanbul office. This is a full time permanent position.
The Business Development Assistant will work on public and private international industrial projects during development, tendering, sales, contract negotiations, executing and closing. During these studies, candidate will be in contact with the clients and related departments throughout company.
Education:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering is a plus. MBA, master’s degree and/or PhD can be plus
Military Status:
Completed or Exempt is a plus. for male candidates.
Experience:
• 2 years previous experience in business development, preferably in Engineering and Industrial Construction field.
• Knowledge of the Global Industrial Construction market and its current events. Ability to identify ideas by researching related markets
• Proven successful experience of building client relationship. Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails. Identify client needs and suggest appropriate solutions.
• Confidence to contact clients on an individual basis to develop relationships and to generate leads, keeping information confidential.
Skills:
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English second language can be plus
• Strong computer skills (MS Office). AutoCAD, MS Project or Primavera skills can be plus
• Strong presentation skills
• The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where it’s necessary to prioritize and manage multiple ongoing activities with excellent time management and organization skills.
• Creative talents and the ability to solve tough problems by paying attention to details
• Ability to work flexible hours and to meet tight deadlines to accommodate clients and colleagues in varying time zones
• Ability to always remain professional
• Ability to network independently
Research:
• Researching companies and individuals online to identify new leads, global project opportunities and potential new markets
• Researching global market trends and competitor analysis for the engineering and industrial construction end user industry and reporting findings to management accordingly
• Maintain and utilize a CRM database of contacts, key accounts and activities for the clients.
Client Relationship:
• Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish relation and setting up face-to-face appointments with key decision makers. Coordinating post meeting follow-up
• Developing and maintain relationships with clients, government agencies and industry associations
• Locates or proposes potential business deals with potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
• Set up meetings and or calls between clients and executive team
Marketing and Proposal Support:
• Contributing to the creation of strategic, customized presentation and marketing communications
• Organizing the preparation of bids, teaming requests and presentations using marketing resource materials such as brochures, data, slides, photographs and reports
• Finding out and attending industry organizations, events, summits, exhibitions, conferences and networking events for developing relationships.
• Contributing to and co-developing marketing plans and strategies with management
• Tracking and reporting of marketing activity budgets and expenditures.
• Ability to create smooth account transitions to management
