Young woman left NYC looking to start new life in Istanbul

I am a young Caribbean woman, I grew up in New York City and moving to Istanbul to volunteer with young children and get a job as an English teacher. I'm a fun loving person, I love a good adventure but I also like to stay in the house for a quiet day of tea and Netflix.  I've lived with flatmates before and my friends consider my the mama bear of the group. 

In my free time, I like to learn about plants and herbs and make teas that can heal multiple illnesses.  Looking forward for flatmates who can help with my basic Turkish and we can build a friendship and get to experience Istanbul together.
