Hi all! I am a singaporean student who will be visiting Istanbul for my exchange this August. I have obtained a single entry student visa and made plans to enter Turkey to deposit my luggage before proceeding to UK and returning to Istanbul once more when for school in Sabanci University. However, I realised that given my student visa is single entry, does it mean that I will not be able to enter Istanbul on the second time? Can i enter Istanbul on the first time as a tourist (and Singaporeans do not require visas to enter Turkey) and then on the student visa when I return? Cant seem to find a definite answer to my problem, thanks to whoever who can provide some advice!

you should talk to turkish embassy in your country! i know if you enter in turky but you'll leave for some days it shold be bettere enter like a tourist without using your visa! because to stay in turky for study you need your visa but also a residence permit..so if you need to leave and then come back to turky use your visa at your return and ask then for a reseidence permit!

GRAZIE
Julien
