City guide Istanbul

Istanbul is one of my favourite European cities. I've been here a couple of times because one of my best friends was doing her Erasmus there. She also went back a second time to do an internship. I visited her both times. Due do the recent events last week, it seemed appropriate to write something about the city.

Istanbul is a magical city.

It's a huge city with millions of inhabitants. Everything you see is beautiful and has something unique and magical. Every market, the food, the antique buildings and the view is truly wonderful.

Cats everywhere you go.

I'm a crazy cat lady so I thought it was extremely fun to see cats everywhere. The people of the city love them and even put food and water outside their doorstep. I also bought some cat food myself so I could feed the cats whenever I saw them.

This is the kitty nest from the garden of the hostel I stayed in.
