Experience in European Institute of Design, Spain by alex

Generally, what is European Institute of Design like?

It is a very strange place. You either love it or hate it. IED is more a creative space.

What are the facilities like?

You have almost everything you need. But almost is not everything :)

What are the tutors like?

Some of them are genius, some of them are just arrogant creative psyches.

Are the lessons easy in European Institute of Design?

Not much, you have to work all the time, and the exams are always difficult. You really need to prepare for exam session.

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

Not much. They are trying, but it s more a creative space, so you have to organise your workflow and leisure time by yourself.

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

Definitely it is. You pay for mac computers, comfortable aulas, one of the biggest photo studio in milan and for teachers...they are not your teachers just friends or experienced colleagues. You just listen to what they say and sometimes it changes completely your perception of work.

Are there any stories you can share?

Some students can come drunk, stoned, out of night club directly to the class, nobody will tell you a word as long as you can create ideas, construct products and promote your work. Just be yourself and IED will guide you. It's a very very cool place to be.
