Our young team welcomes the whole year plenty of international guests in our highly awarded Lodge. The Lodge is the home of 20 trail-horses and offers accommodation for our guests. We organise Horse-Trails for every riders level from 1.5h to 6 days. During this time the riders are staying in the Lodge where we also welcome every Nature-Lover as our guest.

Horse-Trail-Guides (m/f/x)

Guides immediate for at least 6 month &

from 01. April 2020 for 6 month

Basic Requirements:

As successful Horse-Trail-Guide you have a proven knowledge of horses and trail riding. You are guest and service orientated, minimum 22 years old with strong communication skills and a high safety awareness. Basic knowledge in veterinarian topics, horse shoeing, trail guiding between 1-9 participants or practice as instructor are a real plus.

Before you come to us, you have to join a first aid course.

You will solve every day new challenges with the team. You accept new responsibilities and adopt your work according to the demands of a quickly changing operation.

Beside English you speak another language. Preferable German or French. You own a driving license. Trailer driving licence is an advantage.

Tasks:

You will receive a compre-hensive introduction in your task, the horses, the riding area and the offers of the Lodge.

Afterwards you are in charge for the preparation and the realisation of the horse-trail, the safety of the team members/guests in relation with the horse and the guest satisfaction.

You work in all weather conditions. The work load can raise during the high season. You select and take the horses from the meadow, groom and tack them. You communicate actively with your guests about knowledge of landscape, botanic, culture and history of the Azores and Faial Island that we will teach you.
