Why did you choose to go to Holland, Belgium?
I choose to study in the Netherlands because of my interest in the Department of Archaeology at the University of Groningen. Luckily and thankfully they have a nice zooarchaeology laboratory and a great laboratory director!
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I received 5 months of scholarship, and it was 500 Euros per month
What is the student lifestyle like in Holland?
It was amazing living in the Netherlands if you like art, landscape, and cycling!
Would you recommend the city and the University of Holland to other students?
I definitely recommend experiencing life in the Netherlands.
What is the food like?
to be honest, you don't have great options for food in the Netherlands. But if you are a good chef, then you can cook anything you like!
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Holland?
It usually cost you between 350-700 Euros
How much does it cost to live in Holland?
Between 800 and 1200 Euros should be fine.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
There is a variety of language courses at the University
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Holland from your city?
Flights!
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Holland?
Pubcrawl in the city center!

That's difficult to answer when it is about food in the Netherlands.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Ohh, Windmills at Kinderdijk in Rotterdam!
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Holland in the future?
Yes! definitely do canoeing in a canal!
