Grenen

The most northern point of Denmark - Grenen, situated in the small city called Skagen, is a nice spot to visit for a short trip. It is only one hour drive from Hjørring and you can reach it both by car and public transportation. The view is very nice,  the beach is long and empty most of the time, so it is perfect for long walks. It is legal in Denmark to drink beer almost everywhere, so I would highly recommend to pack picnic basket with snacks and beverages before going there. Especially that shops or restrooms are only next to the parking and might be closed off season, and center of the city is not that close to the beach.

If you're lucky, you can see seals or starfish by the sea and of course standing in two seas - Northern Sea and Baltic Sea, at the top of Denmark is a must! (although the water might be freezing sometimes)
