What is it like to live in Hanoi? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Really hot in summer. Different foods are popular and cheap, really delicious. Many beautiful architectures and landscapes with different beauties and brings the cultures of Hanoi. About people, there are both great and bad ones, so be careful. Great choice is to go with Vietnamese friends who you knew before and have them as your tour guides.

What is the student lifestyle like in Hanoi?

Hard-working life at school. But still enjoy life by hanging-around for beer or eating usually.

How much does it cost to live in Hanoi?

About 500 euro for a person to live alone including rent, food travel, and some additional fee.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Hanoi? Is there any advice you can give?

I'm not sure as I'm living with my parents. In my opinion, there're a lot of places available. However, to find the one suitable with your budget and your preferences, it may be hard.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is great. Many dishes you must try. A lot of rice noodles types, should try them all. Besides, there are different type of rice cakes which made from rice flour. And I love rice flakes cake cake most. It calls "bánh cốm". You also should try sea food, really fresh and cheap.

What places would you recommend visiting in Hanoi?

A lot of places :D you can search from internet.

Is it good to eat out in Hanoi? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

yes. A lot of place. There are some famous places such as Shrimp cake in Tay Ho street, or Obama "Bun cha" and so on. However, small spots also have great things. You can search for great places to try from internet

Is the nightlife good in Hanoi? Where is good to go?

Great. On the weekend, there will have walking street around Hoan Kiem Lake and in the old town. People gather there. Also there is beer street Ta Hien :D

What advice would you give future students heading to Hanoi?

Enjoying a new culture is a great options :D Hope you enjoy. And should be careful because as I said before, there are great things but also bad things are unavoidable.
