What is it like to live in Hangzhou? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Hangzhou is quite a tranquil and peaceful city as there are mountains and lakes. You can have a very slow-pace life here, which is great for getting relaxed and for vacations. The weather is nice too, except some of the days might be too hot in August or cold in January.

What is the student lifestyle like in Hangzhou?

Student lifestyle is nothing beyond imagination. People enjoy the quiet and relaxing ambient for studying. But for those who love clubs and getting drunk, Hangzhou is not priority as Hangzhou is more famous for its cultural and artistic appreciation.

How much does it cost to live in Hangzhou?

It really depends, for students, they can usually live in school hostel that costs a little. If you ENT a house outside, it usually varies from €80 per month for a shared room. (In some place you can get a single room for the price) for food, suppose it be €80-150. And transportation €15 per month and other entertainment, it's like 5€ for a movie ticket with stu discount

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Hangzhou? Is there any advice you can give?

Not really. You can always find a room through online or find a homestay family. But he cautious of the intermediaries.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food in Hangzhou is more delicate and light, not like Sichuan spicy food. But yes there are plenty of restaurants of all kinds

What places would you recommend visiting in Hangzhou?

West lake, Lin Yin Temple

Is it good to eat out in Hangzhou? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It's good and Chinese food are delicious haha

Is the nightlife good in Hangzhou? Where is good to go?

I dun quite agree. There are some clubs and karaokes but won't be so popular like in Shanghi and Beijing

What advice would you give future students heading to Hangzhou?

Hangzhou is a very safe and comfortable city to live in, people are nice there. Just enjoy
