Why did you choose to go to Grimsby, United Kingdom?

I choosed this city because there were many entertainment (gym, fast-food, cinema, bowling) and all I needed were here : supermarkets, haircutters, garage etc.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

What is the student lifestyle like in Grimsby?

Excellent place to live when you are a student, you can find everything you need. A lot of students from every country around the world, nice restaurants. Really close to Grimsby : Cleethorpes, a good city located next to the sea where you can find nice landscapes and many (busy) pubs, restaurant, arcade, night clubs. Cleethorpes is really good for nightlife!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Grimsby to other students?

I don't know the university of Grimsby because I made an internship with TOTAL group for 4 months but yes I would recommend this city for student because you can meet many other students or young people to have fun!

What is the food like?

A lot of fast-food, easy to to access. But if you go to Cleethorpes, you can find ALL KIND of restaurants. You have the choice !

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Grimsby?

Nothing, thanks to Erasmusu website, it was quick, easy and cheap.

How much does it cost to live in Grimsby?

It depend of what you do but prices are not especially expensive.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

With a basic level in English, you should be able to make you understood. I don't know about the university.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Grimsby from your city?

The plane! But I needed my car to go to work so I took the ferry to go from Normandy to Portsmouth.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Grimsby?

Cleethorpes is perfect! Many many nice pubs and nightclubs, for everyones !

Cleethorpes : Paw thai links (my favorite), Jamal's, Petit Delight, Agrah
Grimsby : The Rose and Crown

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Nothing especially, if you like to visit, go to York (1 and half hours) or Lincoln (1 hour)

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Grimsby in the future?

Don't forget to drive on the left and be safe at nighlife :)
