22 year old Indian, looking for a stay within 3-4 kms within the university

I am an Indian from Chennai. Any roommates with a good tolerance for Indian food and could provide comfort during days of homesickness.

Would prefer a girl roommate of any country origin. Preferably from the same university, GEM. 

Preferred accommodation is a home divided into apartments or probably a homestay studio with a landlord. Could do with shared kitchens and a private bathroom and kitchenette. Fridge, laundry, hot water, and water heating should be included.

Would prefer is the home is in a lively, warm neighborhood with enough number of English speaking people, but mostly French. Should be a safe neighborhood accessible by tram.
