Like France? Sporty? Interested in teaching or working outdoors? Improve your language skills and gain invaluable work experience in our Intensive French Learning Centre in Normandy.
We are now recruiting activity instructors/ animateurs for our two centres.
Working as an animateur/ animatrice you will undergo comprehensive training, which will equip you with the skill and confidence to teach the various activities and French sessions to visiting pupils.
Full in-house training will be provided for you so no previous experience is required; however a good level of spoken French is essential. We are looking for motivated, outgoing and positive characters that are eager to improve their French language skills.
You will also be trained to lead excursions to local places of interest, organizing the evening entertainment and liaising with visiting teachers during other duties. The first six weeks will be mainly training and are paid at £100 per week, rising to £525 per month for the rest of your contract, plus full board and lodging and benefits as mentioned below. You need to be eligiable to work in France and available for the whole period (mid January until the end of August).
Our offer include:
- Free return transport to and from the Centre from a UK port/ airport
- On top of your salary, full board and lodging is provided either on-site or at a local gîte where all your water, gas and electricity is paid for. You will be catered for by our chef three times a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and food is also provided at the weekend when you stay at the Centre or gîte.
- A common room is available for the staff to share and include TV, video, stereo, washing machine/ dryer, cooker, fridge/ freezer, microwave, kettle.
- Free unlimited Computer and Internet use when the classrooms are not in use (generally evenings, weekends and break times).
- Possibility to use the Office facilities such as telephone, fax, photocopier and computer to help with your course work.
- You will be provided with an English contract for your duration.
- You can use all of the Centre’s facilities and take part in all excursions and activities on your time off.
- Lots of Staff entertainment and outings with the rest of the team.
A typical week generally consists of five working days and two days off (39hrs). You will be required to work some evenings up until 9 pm to help out with the evening activities. You may occasionally be asked to help out in other departments such as office/ administration, maintenance and management, with the added responsibility of evening duties.
