About Us

Mergellina is a startup company established to operate in Geneva as a tech-enabled coffeehouse in high-density office buildings and high-traffic pedestrian areas. We are not another coffee vendor. Our concept is different in two ways. The first, coffee is sourced from Napoli and prepared by an Italian barista using the traditional coffee machine to offer our prospect consumers an authentic and unrivaled taste. And the second, ordering and payment are completely online through our seamless mobile-based application to save the consumers the hassle of queuing and the wait-time.

Responsibilities

Our street locations are destined to be in the most bustling areas of Geneva, next to the big office buildings and shopping attractions. Their retail concept diverges from the conventional standalone shop format. The plan is to rent 4-6 m2of space within existing shops, enough to accommodate our coffee station and barista. Each of these locations during the opening phase will require the presence of at least two ushers. How well these locations do depend on many factors. But how fast they take off depends very much on the ushers. Their primary role is to steer the public’s attention in the direction of our concept backed by different marketing props. They need to explain our concept briefly to those interested and motivate them to download our app. Basically, bringing traffic to these locations using a very gentle and soft touch.
