Couple looking for apartment in Geneva or French border

We are a couple (45 years-old each one of us) coming to work at Geneva and are looking for a place to live the first two months. We don't mind living at the french border (Annemasse, etc) as long as there is public transport nearby.
We would come along with a small dog, so the place has to be pet-friendly :)
