27 yo PHD candidate doing 3 month exchange looking for affordable accomodation

Young, married, PhD candidate in engineering from Namibia (ex German colony btw). I have been given the opportunity to do research at Fraunhofer ISE in solae thermal modelling, from August to October and need accomodation for this period. I am motivated, and hard working,and am just looking for a place to sleep and put my stuff. Not into partirsbut can enjoy a beer. My wife is an accountant who works for a London based firm,and might go work there while I'm in Germany. So might br gone most weekends. Any help would be appreciated.
