25 year old guy without a pet, looking for accomodation in Freiburg

I'm a student from the UK currently enrolled in an online MSci joint run between Freiburg Uni and Fraunhofer ISE. I'll be starting a HiWi/Studentship at the ISE in January so I'm looking for a place to stay for up to 2 years. I'm currently studying solar energy and my interests include environmentalism globally and Buddhist meditation specifically Zen. Aside from that I love experimental electronic music and can speak Chinese pretty well along with Spanish to a high beginner standard. I'm still working on my German.
