Round Trip

Frankfurt

This round-trip began on September 13 and ended on the 27th! 15 days of pure madness and fun.

Inter-rail is an experience that I had always dreamed of and desired. My very own ticket was finally in my hands, and in my room an empty traveling backpack. Just like that, my wildest dream was taking place.

On the morning of September 13, I departed towards my first goal: Frankfurt.

Arrival was not easy.

I took a train from Rome to Milan, a second from Milan to Basel, and a third from Basel to Frankfurt.

In Frankfurt, I spent three days with a German friend of mine (Anastasia). We had a lot of fun. We hadn't seen each other in a long time.

The city is not very large; hence, if you have some time, it is easy to get around by foot to admire the landscapes and details of the streets in the city.

Frankfurt resembles an American city with very high palaces and all in glass. At the same time, however, you find yourself in two different worlds, both in the same city. The busy body world (home to the European bank), and in the other there are many parks with Benches and ample green riverside spaces.

If you tire of walking, by the river there are many locals (like 'Supermama') where you can take a break and relax with coffee or tea. Obviously, in Germany you can't miss the taste of brezel, various types of typical bread, nor the local desserts!

The Städel museum is very interesting; history and modernity clash in this artistic exhibition. For us students, the price is reduced. The museum is useful to escape the monotony of the city!
