HOW IT BEGAN..

18th April 2017, I took my first alone trip with mom. My mom is an architect so she generally imports furniture from china for which she has to travel there every month. This trip must have been her fiftieth while it was my first. And I can't even begin to describe how different this experience was. This city has huge, big, malls only for home decoration. It always fasinated me when mom told me about it, but it was just way better than my expectations when I saw it.

HOW TO GET THERE..

So from Kolkata, Inida, I had to tke a flight till Guangzhou and from there we drove to Foshan, which takes approximately 2 hours to the maximum.

WHAT TO DO..

So there are two major places where you can find useful stuff, Louvre and Suncity. Both are located next to each other so you don't have to worry much about the commutation.

The Furniture City

Louvre has high class and expensive items. From furniture to decorative items, you'll find everything there. Infact, they also sell furniture by Armani and Gucci. However, even to get a look inside, you will have to make an appointment. In the rest of the shops, you can go as and whenever you wish, they have a large variety to choose from. From colours to sizes, everything is negotiable, except the prices ofcourse. The ground floor has the living area and bedroom furniture shops. The first floor has the same. Second and Third has the dinning hall items. The fourth floor has lighting, which is worth a watch. They have hundreds of options to choose from. And lastly on the fifth they have Paintings and sculptures. All the stuff you find there is absolutely skillfully and delicately made. The paintings are vibrant and sculptures very beautiful.

Also, just for your general idea, it takes up all your day in there, so you may have to have your meals in their restaurant on the top most floor. The food is very good. my favourite was their thai curry. And the prices are reasonable. Otherwise you can always carry your own food. They have benches and sitting area made on the ground floor where you can sit and relax if you like. A lot of good showpieces are also available there.

Suncity is rght next to Louvre and is smaller in size. However, it is a little easy on your pockets. It has almost as much variety but cheaper. Although the brands are mostly different here. If louvre costed fifty lakhs in the indian currency for one sofa set, this costed ten.

Apart from this, dinner sets, cycls, fountains, gazebos and alot of other things are also available.

Electronics market

For those who have a nack for techy stuff, this is the best place for you. I am not very inclined towrd this field so I cannot tell you much about what all you fnd there, but yes, you get a variety of drones! Theyre reasonablely priced and are all present in one place.  You'll also find laptops and phones. But make sure if theyre original or duplicate. Some stores are specifically for duplicates because.

ONE NIGHT IN GUANGZHOU..

It was great! The perfect place for shopping. Beijing Lu is a very faous walking and shopping street in Guangzhou. You can find all sorts of stores there. From clothes to shoes to accessories. Infact sports wear and items are also available.
