Estepona, the most beautiful city on the Costa del Sol

What is it like to live in Estepona? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

In one of the villages (we can say village as although it has stopped being a village, it hasn't lost any of its character) that has turned into a beautiful city along the Costa del Sol. A beautiful city, with not many citizens, excellent public services, very landscaped and clean, with an embellished old town, some very clean beaches and fabulous weather all year round. We have the best 5 star hotels on the Costa del Sol and the best beach bars. Friendly and warm-hearted people.

Was it difficult to find accommodation in Estepona?

Do you have any advice?

I rent rooms in Estepona for young students, but it's not difficult to find accommodation. But, that is only if you reserve a room, and you must do so at least 2 months before arriving.

What is the food like there? What are some of your favourite dishes?

The food here is very fresh, seafood is a speciality. However there are restaurants representative of the food from countries all over the world.

What places would you recommend visiting in Estepona>

The beaches, the old town, the seaside promenade, Sierra Bermeja, Parque de Los Pedregales and its rural surroundings, the Dolmenes (where they hold spectacular concerts), El Selwo, the Port, Peña Flamenca, Casa de la Cultura, Plaza de Toros, Paseo de los Murales, Parque del Calvario and everything else there is in Estepona. You can also go for a walk or a bike ride through its rural area which is very cute, or you climb up to the Peñas Blancas in the mountains, where one of the stages of the cycling competition the Tour of Spain occurs. Cafeteria la Maestranza and Hermanos Ledezma (in front of the Parque del Calvario). There are loads of restaurants in the Port and the centre, it all depends on what kind of food you fancy in the moment. To eat homemade food there are various restaurants on Calle Real (which is pedestrianised) or in Palma (in front of the Plaza del Huevo).

Where would you recommend for a night out in Estepona?

There are clubs, but the area where the young people meet up on the weekends is at the Port, where there are loads of spaces for various events.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Estepona in the future?

That you come to Estepona! We'll treat you very well here, and you'll have an excellent time. The people are so friendly and the weather is very pleasant, even in the winter. The urban transport services, which is inter-municipal as well, is excellent. You can move about easily between here and other towns.
